After the departures of Nicolas Batum (CHA), LaMarcus Aldridge (SA), Robin Lopez (NYK), and Wesley Mathews (DAL) it seemed like the Trail Blazers, who had just made the playoffs the year before their starters departed, were going to need to focus on rebuilding
This improbable run was primarily made possible by the team's new leader, and only returning starter, Damian Lillard. The following infographic will explain how Lillard stepped up to the plate, and how the new recruits were about to come together to make Portland's "rebuild," one of the shortest in the history of basketball.
It will be fun to watch how much farther this team is able to come this year and beyond.
